Just relished a viewing of "Robinson Crusoe on Mars." I know it's technically more of an A-movie, but have you published any thoughts about it previously?

Not yet. I could probably justify squeezing it in here, they did recycle the ships from War Of The Worlds after all, so their budget couldn't have been that huge. And it does have a monkey in it. Everybody loves monkeys.

And thus is born one of my favorite jokes:
Q: Is this set saved?
A: No, but it has heard the Gospel!

Why is it I feel bad for that little robot who's being told he has no soul? This must be a sign of my human capacity for compassion.

Snuffles! Get back! Stay away from the computer! You are not going to use the B-Movie Catechism's comment box as a vehicle for an essay on Key: The Golden Idol!

Please don't disown me if I admit I didn't know who Key was. After looking, I found this interesting description on Wikipedia: "Upon his deathbed, Murao reveals that Key no longer has to remain a robot: she can become human with the aid of 30,000 friends." Hmmm. Imagine how easy that would be today with MySpace.

(Snuffles is going to kill me one day, I'm sure of it.)

I remain convinced, however, that Michi and Tima have souls.

(Ha! I'll make you look those up, too!)

(And Deej...it's Key: The Metal Idol. Why are you making EegahInc's job harder?)

Hey I know that one. Well, at least if you're talking about Tima from the anime version of Metropolis. Best use of Ray Charles music in a long time.

Excellent! Michi is the name of the synthetic being from the manga that said anime is loosely, loosely based on.
