Thanks evryone. And as usual I forgot to credit the movies. In order of appearance they are "The Mummy's Ghost", Buster Keaton's "The Three Ages", and "Abbott and Costello Go To Mars". That's a fine evening's worth of viewing right there.
Hahaa... I love those mummy movies. My favorite is called "The Mummy's Shroud". My family call it "The Mummy's Ratty Blanket". And I like your take on "… with no authoritative declaration on the subject," Makes it quite clear that there ARE limits to speculation.

Whatever you're taking, can you send me some?
That was funny.
Hee-hee. Hope none of the class was able to take notes on what happens in the prof's head.

Love the old Hammer mummy movies, zippers running up the back of the wrappings and all.
Do more of these!

And so it all comes full circle . . .
"Do more of these!"
Already working on a few. In fact, if this blog were a TV show concerned with ratings, I'd do nothing but these.
"And so it all comes full circle..."
That sure does happen a lot, doesn't it?
The Outtakes are great, and this one is just the best.
