It also reminded me that as I watched Inside Out, I kept wondering why the makers chose the internal characters they did, what pop psychology it might have been based on, and what a similar movie with vices and virtues characters might have been like. So no, I wasn't totally immersed in the movie, although I enjoyed it a bit

Thanks for the kind words. If I had to guess, I suppose the filmmakers stuck with raw emotions because that's pretty much what the mainstream culture is driven by right now.
