DAILY CALL SHEET: MARCH 13, 2019

Laserblast (1978) Misplaced alien weapon turns a sullen teen-aged schlub into a sociopath. Somehow endearing despite its awfulness. TIL: Since 13 was a common age to begin study under a Rabbi, it's quite possible some of the Apostles were teens. Age is no excuse for being an ass.

Still Voices - Jack the Giant Killer (1962) "Let us be grateful to the mirror for revealing to us our appearance only." - Samuel Butler

Dad Rock Daily: Eloy - Power And The Passion (1975) Enjoyable Prog concept album follows a guy who time trips to 1835, smokes weed with a girl, and joins a peasant rebellion, because why not? Laudable Lyrics: So God please take me out of here, you are my one hope at this time.

And finally, Andy over at Catholic Geeks has posted a review of Captain Marvel wherein he finds it the most fun MCU movie in a while. As for me, I’ve always found Carol Danvers a little bit dull ever since I bought her first issue back in the 70s and the movie only raised my opinion of the character just a little. I mean, the film isn't Iron Man 2 boring or anything like that, it’s just nowhere near marvel’s best. I rate it perfect matinĂ©e price fodder.

Oh, that is cool!

Yeah, there's no way to know for sure, but if you dig into it there's plenty of reasons to think that at least John was under twenty, and maybe a few of the others as well.

It makes as much sense as mother Mary being a teen when she gave her famous "yes""- and I know my grandfather was quite adult at 16, much more recently.
(But I'm not giving up my belief Joseph was a widower until I have very good reason for it!)
