DAILY CALL SHEET: APRIL 5, 2019

Thank God It’s Friday (1978) Silly ensemble piece has Jeff Goldblum as the owner of a disco that Debra Winger, The Commodores, and everybody else wants in. Actually, I can pretty much see that happening in real life. TIL: Nice movie title. We should say it more often during Lent.

Still Voices - Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985) "Let them praise his name in dance, make music with tambourine and lyre." - Psalm 149:3

Dad Rock Daily: The Commodores - The Commodores (1977) It's easy to forget that some good things actually came out of the disco era. Listen to this and remember. Laudable Lyrics: I'd like to fly far away from here where my mind, oh Lord, is fresh and clear.

And finally, over at Aleteia, I have some fun with Shazam! Go see it and you will too. You can also find Catholic Skywalker’s equally positive review here.

Thanks for that! I don’t usually go to see superhero movies since they started being so whiny and angsty. This one sounds like it brings the fun back.

Yep, between this and The Tick on Amazon Prime, fun heroes are definitely back.
