Further proof there’s something seriously wrong with me, but what can I say, the scene fit perfectly. And despite the tedious political trappings, I believe this topic falls well within the range of catechesis. You know, they probably don’t want my help after this, but if you feel inclined to, go check out NDResponse and Notre Dame Scandal anyway. Prayers would be most helpful.

Thanks for that. I'm an alumna.

Our pastor has vanity plates saying "IM 4 ND" and I wonder what, if anything, he will do about that. (Maybe he can just say it is about Our Lady?)
What movie are the courtroom scenes from?

Though I'm no alumnus, I'd like to think, in my own weird way, IM 4 ND 2. I just believe this particular decision by the powers that be there was ill thought out, at least if there's any concern about upholding the Catholic identity of the college.

As for the movie, am I really that old? This is a scene from National Lampoon's Animal House in which the Dean holds a phony hearing to cover the fact that he's long since targeted the Deltas for expulsion. Sorry, this movie was so omnipresent in my teens and twenties that I guess I thought everyone would know it on sight.

That's freakin' awesome! It fits perfect! My favorite scene of the actual movie, except perhaps the brief "Pearl Harbor" speech.

Wait, does this means there's something wrong with me too?

According to the Department of Homeland Security there's something wrong with all of us :)

"According to the Department of Homeland Security there's something wrong with all of us :)" I would bet money I have an extra thick file at Homeland Security. My Confirmation sponsor spent time in Nicaragua, shmoozing with the "wrong side." I was very close to an Egyptian and a Communist Chinese girl was my roommate in college.

"As for the movie, am I really that old?" Sorry, Eegah, its just my mild case of "raised by wolves." My parents, who were married the week of Woodstock, call their home "The Hermitage." It's hard to explain. I did work at a video store for a while, so I'm sure I rented it out a few times. Does that get me off the hook? (I did identify the lone "To Kill a Mockingbird" screen shot correctly, remember?)

I bet we're all on double-secret probation, too...

No accusations here. I've posted more than once how my movie thing borders on the obsessive. I watch at least two a day, so that kind of ensures that I see a lot of stuff most other people don't. If it's any defense, I couldn't tell you much about what's on regular TV outside of news and the Game Show Network (my six year old's own personal obsession).

Wait, you're saying there are 6 yr. olds who aren't obsessed with Legos? Are you sure? Have you seen the web site? Ths is surely more science fiction....

Nope, all true. And it's much better than him having something like a SpongeBob addiction or some such, or at least it was until he saw a rerun of an old Super Password with Fannie Flagg. Do you know what it's like having a six year old boy who just found out someone had the name Fannie?

As a Notre Dame student who is involved a good bit with NDResponse, let me congratulate you on giving the absolute BEST TAKE YET on the Obama at ND scandal. I just happened to stumble across this, and I laughed my ass off! I know it's a bit late, but good job!

PRAY FOR NOTRE DAME!

Johnny, thanks for stopping by and leaving a note. And don't thank me, I'm just a goofball with some video editing software. You folks are the ones who had to try and find a way to deal with this mess in a Christian manner while still keeping up with your classes. THANK YOU, you did us all proud. We'll keep praying for you and ND.
