Rocktober Blood (1984) Murderous rock star is executed, which oddly doesn't hamper his killing spree. Heavy metal horror at its hokiest. TIL: While the death penalty was once allowable, the Church now completely opposes it as there are other means to effectively protect society.

I am not *entirely* convinced that we can do away with executing people yet.
First: Solitary confinement is torture, intrinsically and gravely evil.
Second: Incarceration does not excuse society from protecting a person's right to life and bodily integrity.
Third: Attempting either murder or rape justify the use of deadly force in defense of the victim.
At that point, I think the argument for executing those convicted of recidivism in prison rape or prison murder is morally acceptable, if not actually required.
