Okay, so I gave you the alligator, but do you recognize the remaining three tasty treats shown above which we are allowed to eat on Fridays during Lent?

Beavers, lemurs, and alpaca?

Beavers are correct. For the other two, think of mammals that spend a lot of time in the water. That appears to be the criteria for granting a disposition to eat them during Lent. Here's a giveaway for one of them. http://b-moviecat.blogspot.com/2011/03/lifes-like-movie-funhouse.html

Beavers,nutria, muskrats?

Beavers and muskrats are correct! And nutria is pretty close, though I was thinking of its larger South American cousin.

The larger cousin would be the capybara.

It is the capybara, which having seen a few in person I don't think I would have the heart to eat. It would be like dining on a giant hamster.
