Is it because Christian Bale did such a good job playing Batman that so many people jumped off their balconies...er...couches? Ergonomic chairs? this weekend?

I'm just thinking: Halle Berry, gets Oscar, plays Catwoman. Affleck, gets Oscar... it's not filling me with hope.
Halle also played Storm.
If Shia LeBouef ever wins an Oscar, we can assume he'll be starring in Superman Reboot VII.

Burgo, I'm not sure. I guess despite his recent acting/directing successes, Affleck just doesn't scream dark menacing figure of the night.
